Preparation

Preparing the trial balance is a simple mechanical process. In a manual accounting system, this requires little analysis but a high degree of accuracy. Although the process involves copying or transferring amounts, errors could occur during the procedure. These errors take time to correct, especially if the nature of the error is unclear from the differences. In a computerized accounting system, posting and writing errors hardly exist, the system generates financial statements, bypassing the preparation of an unadjusted trial balance.
